This collection of poems was first published over 50 years ago, but only recently discovered.  The poetry demonstrates, through Dorothy's  interpretation of biblical quotations, her belief that life should be lived following God’s way.  Using imagery from the simple natural world, she brings one to an understanding that Good shall prevail over Evil if you trust in God's guidance.

Dorothy Corinne Edmonds was born in Madras, India on October the 2nd, 1916, of Anglo-Indian heritage. Educated at Doveton Corrie High School in Madras she later became a secretary.

In the 1950s, Dorothy emigrated to England with her sisters and  lived in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.  She again became a secretary and gave many loyal years' of service to Turnell & Odell, Ltd., a local engineering company.

After retirement Dorothy lived with her sisters Rita and Ivy in  "Meadowlands, " a warden-controlled  home.  Lately, since the passing of her sisters, she resides contentedly in " Lancum House." a residential care facility.

We, as her family, share with you these poems, originally published in 1952 by the Good News Literature Center, Secunderabad, India.   We  hope you will enjoy the words written by a quiet and unassuming lady.  She would be pleased to think that they may have inspired you to seek the best that life can offer, in a caring way that fulfills the word of God.

This website of her poetry was shown  to her by laptop  a number of times in the months before her death,
